What you’ll do
A Payroll/AP Specialist handles vendor invoices and employee payroll to ensure payments are accurate, timely, and compliant with company policies. Main tasks include checking invoices, keeping vendor and employee records, fixing any issues, helping with audits, and managing electronic payments and timekeeping.
This role requires strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software.

Payroll:
- Coordinate and process employee payroll, including calculations of wages, overtime, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with deferral, state, and local labor laws such as FLSA
- Manage employee payroll-related data, such as timecards, and update employee information.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees, addressing questions and resolving payroll discrepancies.
Accounts Payable:
- Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval.
- Enter invoices into the account system and maintain vendor files.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure timely, accurate payments to vendors.
- Manage vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Prepare and process electronic payments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
