As Utility Technician you will be collaborating with team members to provide support services to our yard management team and ensure that our external customer requirements are met.

Essential Functions of the position include:

  • Ordering of stationary items for the office and commercial personnel 
  • Monitor daily activity including ordering Monroney Labels for vehicles, printing and processing tokens and JB paperwork. 
  • Conducting audits on out gate sheets reviewing VIN numbers in the system to ensure vehicles are out-gated properly 
  • You must be able to greet customers and clients with a positive, enthusiastic, and friendly attitude and try to assist in any way possible. 
  • Answer incoming phone calls, emails and electronic requests. 
  • Assisting yard team with movement of vehicles when necessary
  • Performs all duties and maintains knowledge of all standards and procedures as stated in the associate handbook

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or GED

Skills

  • Valid Driver license
  • Verbal and written communications skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel
  • 1-year preferred experience in production field 

Nonessential Skills and Experience

Physical demands and work environment:

The physical and mental demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job

 

This position requires the following physical demands:

  • Lifting up to 25 lbs. 1-3 hrs. throughout the day
  • Standing 6-8 hours/day
  • Walking, 6-8 hrs./day
  • Reach above shoulder level 1-3 hrs./day and
  • Bend, Stoop, Squat, and or twist-Repeatedly throughout day.

On the job the employee must:

  • Have natural or corrected eyesight capable of conducting inspections in varying levels of light.
  • Have a normal range of hearing, or corrected hearing, to be able to respond to normal workplace sounds including approaching vehicles.

ENVIRONMENTAL

On the job the employee:

  • May be exposed to excessive noise depending on job location and operations in progress
  • May be around moving machinery and equipment on a daily basis
  • Depending on work location, may be exposed to marked changes in temperature and/or humidity
  • May be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, radiation, chemicals depending on the work location
  • May be required to drive motorized equipment depending on the work location
  • Potentially walks on uneven ground
  • May be required to drive motorized equipment such as golf cart or company vehicle
