The Opportunity: The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical systems and equipment throughout the country club's facilities. This includes all lighting, power distribution, motors, kitchen equipment, pool systems, and other electrical infrastructure. The ideal candidate ensures all work is performed in compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes and safety regulations, while maintaining the highest standards of service for members and guests.

 

Duties and Functions

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and components
  • Diagnose electrical issues and implement timely repairs or replacements
  • Install wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, and other electrical hardware
  • Maintain electrical systems in all areas of the club, including the clubhouse, kitchens, locker rooms, pool area, golf course facilities, and maintenance buildings
  • Ensure code compliance and workplace safety in all electrical tasks
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency service calls
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members on cross-functional projects
  • Maintain records of maintenance and repair work
  • Assist in planning and implementing energy-saving and efficiency initiatives
  • Recommend electrical upgrades and improvements when necessary
  • Monitor inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed for electrical work

 

Qualification Standards

  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or associate degree in electrical technology preferred
  • Valid electrician’s license or certification as required by state or local regulations
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial or industrial electrician; experience in a hospitality or country club setting is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical safety practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
  • Proficient with hand and power tools related to electrical work
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to work independently
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
