Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience and expertise in the sport - 1 our more years of rowing coaching experience, preferably at the high school or college level.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications (or be willing to obtain certification prior to season).
- Washington Boater’s Education certification and ability to drive and operate motorized coaching launch.
- 25 years of age or older.
- Possess a valid Washington State Driver's License.
- Must be willing and able to drive a 14-passenger minibus (training provided).
- Successful completion of a criminal background check, fingerprints and Safe Environment training prior to start of season.
- Compliance with all Holy Names Academy, Lake Washington Rowing Club, and USRowing policies and procedures.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range for the fall season:
- Head Novice Coach: $4,600 - $5,000, paid over the season. Salary is based on skills and experience.
- Assistant Coach: $2,790 - $3,050, paid over the season. Salary is based on skills and experience.
- Benefits: Paid Sick Days, Funds available for professional development opportunities, HNA gear.
- Additional Benefit: Complimentary gym membership at the LWRC boathouse.
