The Pelican Grill Cook prepares all food items for the Golf Course while adhering to all Moody Gardens Regulations as well as Local Food Regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•     Prepare food items by complying with portions size, quality standards, departmental rules, policies and procedures Â
- Â Assume 100% responsibility for quality of guest experience
•   Maintain proper inventory levels of all foods in holding bins, monitoring waste at all times
•   Operation and set up of equipment
•   Keep all foods refrigerated when not being uses
•   Ensure that proper food temperatures are maintained
•   Responsible for safety standards, neatness and sanitation of work areas
•   Help remove all trash from dining areas
•   Cook all foods to proper temperature and ensure consistency of product
•   Adhere to company cost control guidelines by not over or under portioning
•   Receive verbal instructions as to food requested by guests
•   Keep work area clean and sufficiently stocked
•   Clean and sanitize all work areas and food preparation equipment
•   Any and all other duties as assigned; duties are subject to change as management deems necessary to best serve the needs of Moody Gardens
