Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Roller Liaison:   

  • Manage communication with Engravers, Studio, Production Departments (QC, Print, Lam, Scheduling, Copper Rack, Shipping and Receiving), Customer Service, and Customers (if needed).
  • Customs-Review QCs, develop, schedule, provide physical information, and communicate daily with customer service, Heaford department, and cylinder rack.

Roller Management:   

  • Set up and maintain print and emboss roller archives both digitally and physically (roller proofs, Unix, L-drive, and digital assets/portfolio.)
  • Set up and maintain roller Shipping and Receiving log for collection and analyzing data (i.e., damages, costs, metrics, usage on existing rollers for possible turnoffs, etc.)
  • Generate and issue purchase orders.
  • Communicate and release all-new and re-engraved rollers and discuss print issues with engravers.
  • Set up, maintain, organize, and test hang all print and emboss rollers.
  • Work with QC and Print Department to resolve print issues via Design Studio.
  • Create and maintain a regular check-in system with engravers regarding roller status and keep the production team updated.
  • Develop new vendor resources and a balanced workload plan for this diversification.
  • Participate in special projects (explore how and why damages happen)
  • Maintain knowledge of new product compositions (substrates, weights, type)

 

 

Admin Support:   

Bindery/Sampling:

  • Back up support for bindery/sampling (tip cards/memos/presentation boards), including setting up orders internal, external and reconciliation of goods received  
  • Back up support as liaison with bindery on sampling pricing, yardage requirements, scheduling, and timing
  • Coordinate sampling releases with the internal Marketing team and distributors
  • Enter Orders/Bill distributors for sampling items (tip cards, memos, rings, boards)
  • Prepare monthly sample books billed & received reports for the Director of Finance

Customs

  • Provide backup support for updating the S-log and creating custom folders
  • Backup support for communicating with customers regarding their projects
  • Backup assistance in creating production folders for incoming orders

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or related work experience
  • 2-3 years related work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Gravure Printing environment
