The Development Officer is a key member of the development team and is responsible for securing financial resources for Fello. This position will engage in and be responsible for all aspects of the donor development cycle, including identifying, researching, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding. The Development Officer will meet and work with individuals, businesses, and civic organizations to accomplish their giving objectives through annual sponsorships and gifts. The Development Officer will build and scale a portfolio of donors. 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in donor engagement, with a strong track record of cultivating individual and corporate giving relationships and meeting fundraising goals. They are adept at managing a donor pipeline, applying a strategic approach to moves management, and capturing meaningful donor data. They have strong written and verbal communication skills, are analytical and detail-oriented, and are confident presenting to a range of audiences. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and thrives in a mission-driven, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. A passion for creating inclusive communities is essential. 

 

 

This position requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree and/or CFRE certification is a plus) and a minimum of five years of development experience, with at least three years in individual giving that includes direct solicitation experience.
