POSITION SUMMARY: The Pump and Play Supervisor is responsible for day to day store operations, including scheduling, training, and supervising employees.  The Pump and Play Supervisor is responsible for the store profits, and all controllable expenses including inventory levels, and cash and inventory shortages. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

 

  • Ensuring excellent customer service and maintain cleanliness standards.

 

  • Motivate, encourage, and challenge store cashiers.

 

  • Promote and resolve customer complaints, in a timely and professional manner.

 

  • Implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept.

 

  • Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner.

 

  • Must have effective interpersonal skills.

 

  • Supervise, and counsel all store employees according to Bear River Casino Resort policy.

 

  • Complete daily paperwork and computer entry in a timely manner as established by management.

 

  • Monitor cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and drive offs daily in coordination with Store Manager.

 

  • Have the physical ability to perform all duties of a store cashier regularly and covers shifts as needed.

 

  • Understand all information in the daily reporting of store operations.

 

 

  • Follow and enforce all Bear River Casino Resort Policies and Established Procedures in the store Operations.

 

  • Assist in Monthly promotions, insure all POS advertising/signage is properly posted at the proper time.

 

  • Communicate and perform all price change request, mark downs/ups as requested by the Store Manager.

 

  • Communicate any problems with merchandise pricing.

 

  • Implement and enforce all merchandising and vendor policies and procedures.

 

  • Enforce all Safety and Security Issues and report any and all unsafe conditions. Prevents, stops, or reports any loitering, illegal, or immoral activities occurring on Bear River Property as soon as possible.

 

  • Be alert to shoplifting and vendor theft and immediately report such activity.

 

  • Report and process all employee and/ or customer incidents or accidents following company procedure.

 

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees Convenience Store personnel. Performs all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with BRCR policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, directing the work of employees and rewarding and disciplining employees.

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must have at least two (2) years working in a convenience store or similar type of business involving cash handling.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Some computer and POS or register knowledge, preferred.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • None

 

COMPUTER OPERATIONS

  • Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

 

 

 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Expertise and experience in sales operations.
  • Ability to give direction and develop internal personnel.
  • Be willing to work assigned schedule (days, nights, weekends) and any required overtime hours.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
  • Must be able to work with Tribal people and be sensitive to their culture.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Casino Resort.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
