Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor primarily focuses on A/R collection, monitors the daily cash balance in various entities and global banks, manages the daily operations of the accounts receivable department and accounts receivable clerks, and is part of the internal banking payment function.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the accounts receivable team and functions, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of sales invoices, customer credits, cash receipts, aging reports, credit card payments, and check deposits.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and collections; obtain customer credit references; maintain credit holds; and communicate credit limits.
  • Handle inquiries from external customers and the internal Customer Service Department.
  • Track and resolve invoices and credits related to warranty shipments or returns.
  • Initiate and secure payments to vendors, including ACH, wires, and checks.
  • Monitor the daily cash balance in various entities and global banks.
  • Maintain sales tax for various States in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Support annual audits by providing information, documents, and analytics to auditors.
  • Develop and implement process improvements for the accounts receivable function, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications - Education/Experience:

 

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role and accounts receivable collections.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and working knowledge of ERP Systems.
  • Must have excellent communication skills with daily contact with internal employees and customers.
  • Must be able to pass background check, drug test, and a reference check.

 

Physical Demands:

 

  • Required to sit, type, have eye/hand/foot coordination, occasionally stand, walk, kneel, and reach.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • This position works in a typical office and manufacturing environment.
  • Clarity of vision, including the ability to appropriately differentiate colors.
  • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
