EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field) preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
- Advanced degree in technical or business discipline is a plus but not required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Familiarity with aerospace and defense industry standards is highly desirable.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position requires supervision and management of direct-report employees within the department as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The work is primarily sedentary, although there may be some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items, such as paper or books, weighing less than 10 pounds.
- When in manufacturing areas, may be exposed to noise, smells, heat, or dust and will require safety glasses and/or protective wear.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
- Work primarily performed in a standard office environment. If in manufacturing areas, requires protective eyewear and/or hearing protection.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work primarily performed in a standard office environment. If in manufacturing areas, may be exposed to noise, smells, heat, dust, etc. Work requires the observance of fire regulations and safe work practices.
