Gross, Mendelsohn & Associates, P.A.  is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals for 2026 summer internship positions at our public accounting firm. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both the Tax and Audit & Assurance departments. As an intern, you will support entry-level tasks and contribute to the accurate and efficient completion of various projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns for individual and corporate clients.

  • Perform basic audit procedures, including examining financial records and documenting findings.

  • Support the assurance team in evaluating internal controls and assessing financial statements.

  • Help with the compilation and analysis of data for various accounting reports.

  • Maintain organized documentation and accurate records of client information.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines are met and high-quality work is delivered.

  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Summer internship positions require the ability to work between 25 and 30 hours a week (Monday-Thursday). Fridays are off to enjoy long weekends!

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

  • Have completed intermediate accounting courses.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Possesses a strong work ethic, a willing attitude, and an aptitude to learn.

  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.

 

College Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors will be considered.
