Job Summary:
The Maintenance Manager will coordinate, supervise, and assist with work activities of all equipment, maintenance, and welding operations, ensuring the facility operates efficiently and safely. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical skills with a focus on troubleshooting and repairing equipment, maintaining facilities, and managing a team of maintenance employees. The ideal candidate will spend 75% of their time on the floor performing hands-on work and 25% managing administrative tasks and records.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise, assign, and assist with tasks performed by maintenance employees.
• Spend 75% of time working hands-on on the floor troubleshooting and repairing equipment, with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within deadlines while adhering to safety protocols.
• Determine materials, equipment, and supplies required for daily and future objectives.
• Diagnose malfunctions in electrical and mechanical systems; perform or oversee necessary repairs.
• Equipment includes but is not limited to cranes, molds, facility storage, rolling stock, batch plants, and other manufacturing machinery.
• Conduct safety inspections, including Lock-Out Tag-Out compliance, and ensure equipment is safe and operational.
• Track maintenance tasks, schedules, and part inventories using software systems.
• Maintain regulatory compliance records and execute back-up systems for maintenance documentation.
• Collaborate with the Safety Director on OSHA and DOT topics and ensure team adherence to safety standards.
• Provide training to employees on proper methods, equipment use, and safety protocols.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.

• Make time for random inspections of all equipment and supplies.
• Physically able to satisfactorily perform all the essential functions of this job.
Qualifications Requirements:
• Education and/or Experience:
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to five years of related work experience or training and/or equivalent combination.
• Experience operating larger capacity machines.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions necessary for assigned duties.
• Skills:
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Proficiency in diagnosing issues with industrial equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to operate, inspect, and repair heavy equipment and systems on the production floor.
• Leadership skills to train and supervise a team while actively participating in maintenance tasks.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and manage maintenance documentation using software.
• Strong organizational, mathematical, and communication skills.
• Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds individually or 100 pounds with assistance.
• Regularly stand, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend.
• Work Environment:
• Noise levels may be loud; ear protection may be required.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at all times.
