Position Requirements:
- Key skills, abilities and knowledge:
- Working knowledge of standard welding principles and techniques including inert gas welding (e.g., TIG, MIG).
- Ability to read and understand weld specs, shop drawings, job layouts and blueprints.
- Ability to use basic math, measuring instruments (rules, etc.), gauges and templates.
- Knowledge of working properties of structural metals and welding materials.
- Skill in using and maintaining welding equipment and related tools of the trade.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and the ability to follow safe work practices.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
- Experiential: Three or more years of general welding experience.
- Educational: Formal apprenticeship training is desirable but not essential.
- Certificates, Licenses: Forklift operator certification is preferred.
