Recruiter

The Recruiter is a pivotal role in ensuring that Blackberry delivers its mission of Legendary Hospitality by finding the very best candidates to be part of our growing team! The ideal applicant is energetic, organized, and has a passion for helping find candidates the best career path.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Actively seeks new avenues, both digital and in-person, to attract the best applicants.
• Monitors trends in the recruiting environment to ensure Blackberry is a top employer for applicants.
• Is passionate for the Blackberry brand and utilizes passion to recruit applicants.
• Continuously fosters strategic relationships in the community to build a strong recruiting network.
• Proactively works with newspapers, educational institutions, job boards and career advertising venues to recruit for open positions.
• Manages programs such as internships and seasonal programs to recruit team members.
• Travels to colleges, career fairs, both local and out of state.
• Participates in career fairs with colleges and other hosting events.
• Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft job descriptions, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates.
• Conducts compliant screening interviews to ensure the best fit for applicants and hiring departments.
• Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on job needs.
• Develops, monitors, and tracks metrics to accurately assess proactive recruitment methods and staffing levels.
• Responds to all applicants, team members, and managers in a timely manner.
• Evaluates, updates, and maintains staffing metrics, turnover, and retention reports.
• Maintains, creates, and updates job descriptions.
• Maintains Blackberry career website to ensure accurate job postings and ensure internal job postings are timely.
• Monitors and utilizes the Applicant Tracking System (Paycom) to post jobs, review pipelines and candidates, and onboard employees.
• Ensures that the recruitment process, paperwork, and protocol are appropriately followed to include phone screen, interviews, follow-up with managers, offers-verbal and written, reference checks, background checks, MVR checks, orientation, property tours, and collection of all necessary new hire paperwork.

Must comply with all company policies and procedures.

To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.

Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• None

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, or related field preferred
• Basic knowledge of HR employment law
• Three to five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred
• Must be highly organized
• High volume staffing experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Applicant Tracking System preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers and team members
• Must be able to establish relationships with outside vendors and communicate needs and requests to them accordingly 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Basic knowledge and understanding of math and Excel

REASONING ABILITY

• Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to sit at a computer for long periods of time and move about property as necessary
