POSITION OVERVIEW
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the proper cleaning and all linen and terry. They load and unload all washers and dryers, fold, sort, and move finished product to their appropriate storage area. They are responsible for the correct ratio of chemicals and managing inventory levels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
- Maintain positive guest and resident relations at all times.
- Resolve guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
- Assist Housepersons or Room Attendants to clean and replenish guest bedroom and bathroom areas according to hotel standards, as needed.
- Deliver requested items to guest rooms promptly and courteously.
- Complete accurately, and in a timely manner, any assigned work.
- Maintain cleanliness levels in public areas of the hotel including guest hallways and housekeeping closets.
- Move and organize linen carts.
- Maintain stock of cleaning supplies.
- Report any defects to the corresponding areas responsible.
- Maintain complete knowledge of equipment and use only as intended.
- Maintain a professional and personable appearance at all times, according to hotel standards.
