The Fuel Transport Driver is expected to work as a valued member of the Transportation Division. This job will primarily consist of local vehicle operations involving hauling and supplying fuel to facilities such as Sam’s and FastLane Gas and Convenience Stores. On occasion, the deliveries will be required throughout the region.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators
Job Knowledge and Responsibilities
- Transporting fuel over land to and from distribution centers.
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
- Operate company-owned trucks over 4 tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operations.
- Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
Service Orientation
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
- Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
Communication, Collaboration, and Teamwork
- Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
Planning, Organizing, and Accountability
- Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Report defects, accidents or violations.
- Perform required before-, during- and after-operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports.
Initiative, Problem-Solving, and Decision Making
- Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.
- Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition.

- Observe safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
