Role Summary:

the vehicle engineering operations engineer is responsible for the planning, commissioning, and maintenance of testing facilities. This role includes daily operation support, scheduling, and customer coordination, with a strong focus on continuous improvement of testing processes.

 

Responsibilities:

  •  Plan and support the commissioning of new testing facilities.
  •  Develop, document, and implement testing and maintenance procedures in compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.
  •  Provide daily operational support.
  •  Manage the test request systems and schedule, and coordinate with the test facility customers.
  •  Plan and execute preventative maintenance activities.
  •  Track key performance indicators (KPIs). Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve test quality, ensure on time delivery, minimize unplanned downtime, and maximize customer satisfaction.

 

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited university; Strong engineering fundamentals required.
  • 2-5 years of testing experience; Experience with operating and maintaining climate chambers and chassis dynamometer facilities preferred.
  • Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, and post processing.
  • Working knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and relevant debugging tools.
  • A proven track record of problem solving an independent root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to produce clear, organized, and timely documentation.
  • Team oriented mindset.
  • Strong interest in automotive technology.
  • Ability to work independently.

 

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass criminal background screening, drug test, employment verification, and education verification.
  • Have a valid California driver's license.
  • Clean driving record with no at fault accidents or moving violations in the past three years and no DUI in the past 10 years.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
