Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline is required.
· A minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience in Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) engineering.
· Equivalent military training and applied experience in the EMI discipline may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Technical Expertise:
· Demonstrated proficiency in EMI/EMC testing and compliance in accordance with MIL-STD-461 (Revisions A–G) and RTCA/DO-160 (Revisions C–G).
· Strong foundation in RF engineering principles, with a particular emphasis on EMI analysis and mitigation techniques.
· Proven ability to interpret and apply technical documentation including:
o Electrical schematics and circuit board layouts.
o Wiring diagrams, cable harness layouts, and connector interface documentation.
Test Execution and Documentation:
· Lead and participate in EMI/EMC test planning and review processes.
· Set up test configurations for Equipment Under Test (EUT) in accordance with detailed EMI test procedures.
· Operate and manage laboratory instrumentation including spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, signal generators, power amplifiers, and antennas.
· Maintain and update EMI test documentation, including:
o Test logs and notebooks
o Data sheets
o Checklists
o Supporting test data and records in accordance with the EMI test plan.
· Oversee and participate in the assembly and disassembly of EMI test setups.
Software and Tools:
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
· Familiarity with EMI/EMC automation and analysis software such as TILE!, VEE, and BAT-EMC.
Professional Skills:
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, engineering leadership, and laboratory staff.
· Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic team-oriented environment.
