Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Health Education Coordinator, the JAM Peer Educator will co-facilitate sessions of WHEDco’s Just Ask Me (JAM) program, a peer-educator-led sexual health and substance education program, at one of WHEDco’s middle schools, the Raphael Hernandez Dual Language School PS 218.
Responsibilities
- With the Health Education Coordinator, co-facilitate JAM sessions about a variety of health and wellness topics for students in grades 3rd- 8th grade Monday & Wednesday afternoons across our partner school PS 218.
- Attend training sessions to learn the JAM curriculum, practice co-facilitating, discuss health topics, and develop new skills.
- Assist with additional health education efforts as necessary.
