Warehouse pullers are responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the loading dock in a manner that meets the company’s standards for productivity, efficiency, and responsibility. The order puller is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled. The order puller must be consistent, attentive to detail and informed about the products the company provides to be able to provide the customers exactly what they need and expect. They will select according to a pick ticket, inspect for quality, and transfer this product to the dock.
- Locate and accurately pull orders in a timely fashion (minimum 130 p\h, 150 p\h average).
- Stage orders together on the dock.
- Load checked orders onto trucks (as needed).
- Pull shorted items when assigned to shorts (as needed).
- Ensure the accuracy of pulled product (double check quality and quantity).
- Follow truck loading and unloading procedures.
- Follow inventory procedures (First in first out).
- Clean and maintain the warehouse inside and out (This includes all coolers; pick up trash; sweeping floor and back dock area and empty trash as needed).
- Communicate with supervisors and warehouse department employees any issues related to performing duties.
- Find and communicate ways to improve and or increase productivity.
- Maintain a safe work environment. Follow all HACCP, SQF and OSHA rules and regulations.
