Position Summary: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet GNY’s workforce needs. This position involves developing sourcing strategies, managing the recruitment process, and fostering a positive candidate experience. This position involves building relationships with hiring managers, being organized, and proactive, with a strong understanding of talent acquisition best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full recruitment life cycle for both internal and external positions (exempt and non-exempt requisitions), including networking, pipeline management, talent identification, offer negotiations, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
- Responsible for temporary recruitment needs and tracking.
- Source high quality and diverse talent using innovative and creative strategies, through a variety of sources, including job boards and professional networks.
- Source passive and active candidates to find top talent.
- Build good relationships with leaders, acting as a trusted partner for recruitment related activities. Proactively provide status updates on and results to managers.
- Assist managers in crafting tailored interview questions.
- Utilize applicant tracking system to post jobs, screen resumes, track candidates, and ensure a streamlined hiring process.
- Communicate job offers, manage salary discussions, and coordinate new hire logistics, ensuring a seamless transition for incoming new hires.
- Provide recruitment update reports to leadership.
- Attend local colleges/job fairs to attract talent.
- Negotiate and track agency fee agreements.
- Identify improvements in the recruitment processes to enhance efficiency.
- Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
