This position requires a minimum of one day per week in office.

Position Summary: The primary purpose of this role is to assist the team with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization. In addition, this role provides assistance with the vendor management and compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis
  • Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate vendor due diligence, risk assessments, and ongoing monitoring activities, including tracking critical vendors and documenting controls
  • Assist with quarterly expense accruals and expense analysis
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
  • Administrative tasks, as required

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (with a major in Accounting or a similarly related field) required.
  • 2 years prior experience in Accounting preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Intermediate knowledge of Excel required.
  • Prior accounting and/or industry related experience a plus.

Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to learn new programs.
  • Ability to work well with members of the team.
  • Detail oriented, good communication (oral and written) and analytical skills.Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work Saturdays (and possibly an occasional Sunday) during the months of January and February for the annual close.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work extended hours during the week around the quarterly and annual close.

The salary range for this role is $46,400 - $80,100. The listed annual salary range posted for this position is subject to change and may vary depending on performance, education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, demonstrated proficiency in the competencies required for the role and business needs.  Base pay is just one component of GNY’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
