We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This position is primarily based in Hoffman Estates, with occasional travel to other clinical locations as needed. The ideal candidate is empathetic, organized, and passionate about women’s health or fertility care.
Responsibilities
- Assist clinical staff in the routine functions of infertility treatment.
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection.
- Provide physician assistance during procedures.
- Assist with telephone triage and patient communication.
- Complete required health documents for insurance processing.
- Schedule procedures and assist with procedure room preparation.
- Act as a liaison between clinical staff and laboratory services.
- Review lab results with physicians and assist in patient follow-up.
- Prepare and review treatment forms and documents.
- Understand basic ultrasound machine operations.
- Document all patient contact appropriately in the EMR.
- Support nurse education for patients regarding fertility care and surgery.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomist preferred (training provided).
- Associate degree in a medical field preferred.
- Basic computer and EMR proficiency.
- At least 1 year of experience in medical practice, preferably in women’s health.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; sound judgment.
- Availability to work occasional weekends as needed.
- Ability to travel to other locations as needed.
