Sanitation Lead

· Lead sanitation team during assigned shifts.
· Responsible for effective sanitation of the various plant equipment and departments.
· Must be able to follow equipment cleaning instructions as listed in the Sanitation Procedures Manual.
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Must become familiar with cleaning chemicals by name, function, and usage rate and become chemical certified.
· Timely notification to Maintenance and/or Supervisor of equipment problems.
· Notify Supervisor of actual or potential problems.
· Must be able to follow verbal instructions from Supervisor.
· Must be detail oriented and be able to work independently.
· Responsible for compliance with GMP’s, proper sanitation, and housekeeping in area.
· Responsible for use of required safety equipment and complying with proper safety procedures including wearing proper protective clothing, steal toe boots and safety googles at all times.
· Other duties as assigned by Management or volunteered for.

Desired Qualifications
· Experience using a variety of equipment including a power washer.
· Previous sanitation experience.
Competencies
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance procedures, and a variety of instructions, diagrams or schedules.
· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Work Environment
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial truck. The employee is frequently exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Demands
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for the duration of the production shift; talk or hear; use hands or finger to handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is infrequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
· Sanitation Staff works third shift, 8 hours a shift. 10:00pm – 6:30am with overtime available as needed.

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation for this role is $24.00/hr. Benefits for this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, 401K with company match, short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance.
