Lead Medical Assistant-Pediatric ENT Clinic (FT/Days)

DEFINITION:

ENT- Medical Assistant Lead performs various patient care tasks and uses non-professional skills to assist the physician in providing care of the patient in an outpatient setting.  Under the supervision of a licensed nurse and/or the physician, the Medical Assistant Lead performs delegated tasks and procedures of patient care, involving the physical, psychological, social, emotional, safety, and security needs of the patient.  Facilitates the appropriate registration, appropriate documentation for billing/collection purposes and clerical duties that are location specific.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have High School diploma or GED.  Must have completed a course in medical assisting with a resulting diploma or certificate of course completion.  Requires excellent communication and organizational skills.  Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers. 1 year previous Medical Assistant experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Three years of physician office experience.  Active regional or national certification for Medical Assistant.
