Under the direction of the Director of Rehab or Physical Therapy, the Occupational Therapist develops, organizes, conducts and/or oversees an individualized, medically prescribed physical therapy plan of care to restore function and activities of daily living following disease, injury or loss of body part. The occupational therapist provides preventative instruction and rehabilitation of acute or prolonged dysfunction or pain with an emphasis on restoration of activities of daily living, exercise and other procedures to maximize functional independence. The occupational therapist functions as a member of the rehabilitation team; participates in in-service training; quality improvement initiatives; documentation; charging; ordering equipment and supplies; supervising/training staff; and other requested duties.
