The position of a cook is more than just cooking meals in a facility setting. It includes providing food service to patients in a cost – effective, efficient manner to safely meet patient needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
This job has part time to full time hours available. You must be able to work holidays if scheduled.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Using the menus provided for the dietary requirements for each patient and the food purchased by the Dietary Manager, the cook prepares food for each meal.
- Prepare and serve patients diets accordance with diet orders and daily menus.
- Assist the Dietary Manger to determine the amount and type of food necessary to prepare the daily menus.
- Monitor use of food to eliminate waste.
- Follow posted menus and standardized recipes for food preparation.
- Stock food in compliance with dietary policies and procedures.
- Clean up after meals and clean kitchen completely.
- Serve and protect the community by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and Idaho standards as well as company policy.
