Role:

The Campus Operations & Youth Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth daily functioning of school operations while leading a vibrant, mission-aligned afterschool program. This role supports both the logistical backbone of the school and the joyful, engaging experiences that extend learning beyond the school day. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, student-centered environment and is passionate about educational equity and community partnership.

 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
School Operations

  • Oversee daily campus operations, including supply ordering, maintenance coordination, and front desk support

  • Maintain student compliance records, including attendance, CCAP documentation, and ISBE requirements

  • Support enrollment and re-enrollment processes, ensuring accurate student records

  • Coordinate logistics for school-wide events such as field trips, Green Parties, and fundraisers

  • Submit and track orders for office and facility-related supplies

  • Support attendance tracking and generate basic data reports as needed

  • Partner with the Principal and team members on school-wide communications (e.g., flyers, notices, family updates)

  • Support bus and transportation logistics in coordination with school leadership and vendors

  • Coordinate daily custodial and kitchen support, ensuring that cleaning, sanitization, meal prep, and serving schedules are maintained and any operational issues are addressed promptly

  • Serve as a point of contact for custodial and kitchen staff, communicating needs and supporting efficient workflows

Afterschool Program

  • Design and implement an engaging after-school program aligned with student interests and school values

  • Manage scheduling and staffing for after-school enrichment activities and clubs

  • Supervise afterschool aides and/or enrichment partners, ensuring program quality and safety

  • Monitor attendance, behavior, and safety protocols during after-school hours

  • Communicate regularly with families about programming, schedules, expectations, and student participation

  • Maintain compliance with program policies and regulatory guidelines

  • Coordinate student dismissal and end-of-day transitions

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $56,600 - $61,500

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 1–5 years of relevant experience

  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, vendors, and community partners

  • Proficiency with basic data and technology tools for communication, compliance, and reporting

  • Demonstrated commitment to educational equity, cultural responsiveness, and child-centered practice
