Dietary Aide

Position Title: Dietary Aide

Location: Filling Home - Main Facility

Hours: Part time 2nd shift; 4:00pm - 7:30pm every other weekend and every other holiday

Job Summary: To assist the cook in the preparation and service of nutritionally adequate meals and to maintain a sanitary environment in the food service and dining areas.

Responsibilities: 

• Maintain equipment and food storage areas in a sanitary condition.
• To wash and sanitize all eating utensils, dinnerware and equipment used in meal preparation and dining by staff, residents, and visitors to the home.
• To follow specific cleaning schedule of kitchen equipment, cabinets, floors, and all other areas assigned.
• Assist cook as directed in preparation and serving of meals.
• Cooperate with other departments within the facility to ensure that the nutritional and dietary needs of residents are being met.

• Ability to follow directions and standardized recipes.
• Must have good communication, comprehension and writing skills.
• Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Must have the ability to interact with others in a positive manner and maintain harmonious working relationships with facility staff
