Job Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 4-5 years of progressive experience in enterprise networking environments.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet network devices, including Cisco Catalyst series switches, Meraki APs and switches, and FortiGate firewalls.
- Solid understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts (VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, QoS, HSRP, SD-WAN, VIP, VNET Peering).
- Expertise in deploying and troubleshooting enterprise wireless networks using Ekahau or similar tools.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining VPNs, firewalls, and Zero Trust security solutions.
- Strong understanding of network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).
- Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure/AWS), SASE, and network automation tools (Python, Ansible, PowerShell) highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of VoIP, video conferencing, and QoS for real-time applications.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and deliver results under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable operating a boom or scissor lift as needed to access elevated network equipment.
- Availability for on-call rotation and ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Travel may be required on occasion. A valid passport with a minimum of six months validity beyond any anticipated international travel dates is required.
Job Summary:
The Senior Network Administrator will work closely with the Enterprise Infrastructure and Security Manager concentrating on the health of the network, implementing new technology, troubleshooting LAN/WAN, cloud, and connectivity problems. The Senior Network Administrator will provide logistical support, respond to queries, document changes, and assist with testing, assessment, diagnosis and resolution of network service outages and incidents. Under the direct supervision of the Enterprise Infrastructure and Security Manager, the Senior Network Administrator maintains network systems and configures devices, enables services or responds to end user requests for network status information.
Job Duties:
- Deploy, configure and support LAN/WAN, wireless, and SD-WAN.
- Maintain Azure network infrastructure, including VNET peering, network security groups, and hybrid connectivity such as site-to-site VPNs between cloud and on-premises environments.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and coordinate root cause analysis and remediation.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Support and maintain IP-based security cameras and video management systems, ensuring reliable network integration and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects, providing technical expertise and leadership.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior network staff, fostering technical skill growth and operational excellence.
- Manage vendor relationships, evaluate emerging technologies, and oversee service delivery contracts.
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
- Develop and implement network automation strategies to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
- Adhere to cybersecurity best practices in all network configurations, monitoring, and maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with organizational security standards.
- Ensure adherence to IT policies and procedures and contribute to their ongoing improvement.
- Maintain sanitary and safe work environment and follow safety requirements.
- May actively participate on company’s Safety Committee.
- Ensure that company safety policies as well as federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations are observed.
- Must have a complete understanding of company’s policies, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP and cGMP that pertain to their department to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and sustainability.
- Must adhere to all company policies.
- Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications.
- Follow all SOPs in a given area.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager and/or designee.
