We are YSS!

YSS is looking for a reliable, patient, empathetic, full-time Residential Overnight Manager to join our Residential Recovery Team! The Residential Overnight Manager is responsible for daily management of the Ember Campus overnight program. This person will hire and manage all relevant employees, typically the Ember Campus overnight staff. They will also coordinate internally and externally promotion of the residential program. Primary duties include:
 
  • In coordination with the Campus Director, supervising staff, including hiring, evaluations, training, and scheduling.
  • Ensuring all necessary standards and guidelines for residential care (IDPH, HHS, DIA, CARF, etc.) are followed
  • Overseeing program documentation, ensuring compliance with confidentiality, licensing, and certification requirements.
  • Coordinating medical services, ensuring accurate medication management, and collaborating with clinical teams.
  • Managing facilities needs, budgets, and expenses.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Conducting fire/tornado drills.

MUST HAVES - to qualify, you need:
  • Bachelor’s in a human services related field * and three (3) years experience, which includes direct employee supervision and residential facility management.
OR
  • Seven (7) years of experience, which includes direct employee supervision and residential facility management.
PLUS
  • A deep understanding of substance use and substance use disorders, the needs of youth facing substance use and dependency, the intervention strategies available to address these needs, child and youth development, basic individual and group counseling dynamics, and trauma-informed care.
  • Travel, including transporting clients, is required for this position. For YSS insurance purposes, you must:
    • be 21 years of age,
    • have a current, valid, state-issued, driver’s license, and
    • have a clean driving record.  
 
SHOULD HAVES - we would also like you to have/be:
  • Patient and calm under pressure, able to think critically and solve problems in challenging or unexpected situations.
  • Able to mediate conflicts, de-escalate tense situations, and promote healthy communication. 
  • Skilled in verbal and non-verbal communication, with strong observation, listening, speaking, and writing abilities.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, navigating multiple systems, and operating in a Microsoft Windows environment.
