Peace Village, a 22-acre senior living community known for its beautiful campus and caring culture, is seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing to lead our efforts in welcoming new residents and ensuring our vibrant community continues to thrive.

This is more than a sales leadership role—it’s an opportunity to make a difference every day. As part of our leadership team, you’ll guide the Sales, Marketing, and Life Enrichment departments to create engaging experiences that reflect the warmth, vitality, and mission of Peace Village. You’ll report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and play a key role in shaping the future of our community.

What You’ll Do:
• Lead a talented team focused on achieving occupancy goals across Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.
• Provide leadership and support to the Life Services Supervisor and Life Enrichment team, ensuring residents’ activity and transportation needs are met with creativity and care.
• Develop and execute strategic marketing plans that reflect Peace Village’s mission and values.
• Cultivate meaningful relationships with residents, families, referral sources, and the broader community.
• Oversee brand management, advertising (including our advertising agency), and outreach efforts that highlight the Peace Village difference.
• Partner with the CEO, department heads, and Board to align marketing and engagement strategies with organizational goals.
• Use data-driven insights and CRM tools to manage leads, analyze trends, and guide decision-making.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional customer service.

What We’re Looking For:
• A compassionate leader with at least 5 years of successful sales and marketing experience, preferably in senior living; CCRC/entrance-fee-based communities a plus.
• Proven experience leading teams and achieving measurable results.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
• A strategic thinker who’s also comfortable being hands-on when needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.

Job Description

Summary / Objective

The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for developing and executing strategies that ensure occupancy goals are met or exceeded for Peace Village’s Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities. This position builds and maintains strong relationships with prospects, residents, families, and the broader community while promoting the mission and values of Peace Village. This role also provides leadership and direction to the Life Enrichment team and the Life Services Supervisor, ensuring that resident activity and transportation needs are met across all levels of living.

Essential Functions

  1. Develops and implements an annual strategic sales and marketing plan to maintain full occupancy across all levels of care.
  2. Maintains competitive market data and integrates findings into the overall marketing strategy.
  3. Establishes and implements proactive strategies to offset expected attrition and meet occupancy goals.
  4. Identifies new marketing opportunities, partnerships, and referral sources to increase brand awareness and lead generation.
  5. Cultivates and maintains positive relationships with residents, families, prospects, and community partners.
  6. Collaborates effectively with the CEO, Board of Directors, and other department leaders to achieve organizational goals.
  7. Provides leadership, guidance, and professional development to the Sales, Marketing, and Life Enrichment teams.
  8. Oversees and supports the Life Services Supervisor in ensuring that activities and transportation programs meet the needs and preferences of residents in Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.
  9. Builds and maintains partnerships with healthcare providers, senior service organizations, and local businesses to enhance referral networks and community presence.
  10. Oversees advertising (including the advertising agency), digital marketing, and media relations, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and brand integrity.
  11. Develops and manages departmental budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and compliance with organizational policies.
  12. Collaborates on recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and performance management of Sales, Marketing, and Life Enrichment personnel.
  13. Ensure all prospective residents meet admission criteria and oversees the move-in/move-out process in collaboration with Resident Services and other departments.
  14. Tracks, reports, and analyzes key performance metrics including occupancy, inquiries, leads, and conversions through the CRM system.
  15. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to marketing, advertising, and resident privacy.
  16. Maintains the highest level of customer service and professionalism in accordance with Peace Village’s mission and values.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position directly supervises the Senior Living Consultants, Sales and Marketing Coordinator, and the Life Services Supervisor.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers. Occasional attendance at community events and off-site meetings is required.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position. Typical work hours occur during standard business hours; however, evening and weekend work may be required based on marketing events, tours, and community activities.

Travel

Travel is primarily local and regional for networking, outreach, and community events.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  2. Minimum of five (5) years of successful sales and marketing experience, preferably within senior living or healthcare.
  3. Proven supervisory and leadership experience required.
  4. Experience with CRM systems and data-driven sales management preferred.
