JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing credit analysis for the bank. This position will analyze financial documentation and related information to insure informed credit decisions. Support the Credit Analyst Supervisor and Loan Review Officer in administrative processes to assist in the identification of inherent risk in the bank’s loan portfolio.Â

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Analyze financial documentation for new and renewal loans, including financial statements, tax returns, profit and loss statements, and credit bureau reports.
- Will generally focus on smaller, less complex credits
- Provide ratio, trend and cash flow analysis as needed. Prepare borrower analysis reports for Loan Officers and Loan Committees in a timely manner.Â
- Work closely with Credit Analyst Supervisor and Lenders to insure informed credit decisions on loan proposals.
- Work closely with Credit Analyst Supervisor, Loan Review Officer, and Loan Administration to ensure banking regulations, loan policies, and adequate underwriting standards are being followed on credits analyzed.
- Recognize the characteristics of a problem loan and report to Loan Review Officer.
- Assist Credit Analyst Supervisor and Loan Review Officer with monthly and quarterly reports as needed.
- Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
- Effectively work and cooperate with lenders, supervisors, and co-workers.
- Follow the direction of the supervisor.
- Typically will have 0-2 years’ experience
- Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field is preferred.
- Previous banking experience in loan review or lending related area is preferred.
- Proficient computer, 10 key, and typing skills.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong proficiency in PC applications including Windows, MS Word, MS Excel. Experience in Jack Henry bank software a plus
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team building and interpersonal skills: able to work well with a wide range of people
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:
- Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity
- Frequent lifting (up to 25 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).
- Possible driving to various banking centers, client locations, seminar locations, and other sites as needed
