Qualifications
- This position requires excellent interpersonal communication skills for interfacing with internal and external organizations as required to perform job responsibilities.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering required. MS preferred.
- Expert knowledge of PTC Creo and SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD design environments.
- Strong experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (G,D&T).
- Solid knowledge of mechanical design principles.
- Experience with 3D printing/additive manufacturing technologies.
- Knowledge of plastic and metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to coordinate and interface with manufacturing suppliers, machine shops, etc.
- Understanding of machine shop tool technology.
- Experience converting 3D CAD drawings to 3D printed designs with various materials o Impeccable attention to detail.
- Experience with electro-optical manufacturing processes.
- Experience within design team environment.
- Knowledge of Oracle based ERP systems in support of manufacturing processes.
