Position Overview 

The Quality Safety, Health, and Environmental (QSHE) Manager supports the Integrated Management System for the A-2-Sea related business of SubCom, LLC.  Responsibilities include maintaining appropriate certifications, audits, and managing corrective actions for the business.  The position reports to the A2Sea Site Manager with a dotted line to the SubCom EHS Lead and Marine Services Quality Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and implement the A-2-Sea IMS, and align with SubCom.
  • Support and track QSHE related objectives, KPIs, and sustainability data with quarterly report-outs.
  • Maintain and create quality, health and safety, and environmental policies and procedures, including annual review and approvals
  • Review method statements, risk assessments and other necessary IMS documentation for projects. Co-ordinate and advise on projects and liaise with project managers.
  • Conduct Annual audits to ensure compliance with QSHE standards. Address any non-compliance issues to closure within 90 days.  Liaise with external consultants and auditors.
  • Oversee and manage the investigation and reporting of QSHE incidents. Ensure corrective actions are implemented within 90 days to prevent recurrence.
  • Support compliance with applicable laws and regulations acting as the primary point of contact with regulatory bodies for QSHE matters. Ensure timely submission of all required documentation and reports.
  • Conduct periodic workplace, site, and vessel workplace site visits, inspections, and observations.
  • Drive four continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QSHE performance annually.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH, IOSH or similar QSHE level 3+ certifications are preferred.  Requires demonstrable experience managing QSHE and IMS.  A Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering is a plus. 
  • Good understanding of ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards and EHS related metrics, KPIs.  Certified Lead Auditor to ISO-9001/14001/45001, is preferred. 
  • Good understanding of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage concurrent projects.
  • Experience with QSHE data, training, written programs, and related regulations.
  • Understanding of ESG principles, sustainability metrics, and recording requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate priorities, document procedures, and services.
  • Interpersonal skills to build and maintain rapport, confidence and influence with peers and teammates both in person and remotely. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Computer literate; high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and databases.
  • Current passport with no restrictions on international travel and current full U.K. driver’s license.
