The Quality Supervisor is responsible for ensuring timely and effective implementation of all company policies and procedures within the Quality organization and maintaining ISO standards. He/she is “hands on” and leads by example in sample testing, inspection, and calibration while growing as SME for the department in helping determining product and process conformance. Is a leader in Continual Improvement and a driver of process efficiency while helping the department to meet all goals and objectives.

The Quality Supervisor supports manufacturing operations by supervising staff, adapting the team to changes in production workflow, and working closely with Engineering, Operations Supervisors and Managers, Project Management and R&D.

This position reports to the Manager of Production Planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain clean and safe work areas following 5S guidelines.
  • Ensures good performance of direct reports by mentoring, training, setting expectations, providing accountability, and performing evaluations.
  • Maintain a professional work environment that focuses on business objectives but also balances quality of work-life factors for direct reports.
  • Organize and monitor department workflow for Quality Analysis through communication.
  • Ensure cross training and job rotation of personnel; effectively and efficiently resource plan and schedule to meet commitments.
  • Collect and analyze data and generate daily reports.
  • Maintain department and applicable documentation/records to ISO standards, as well as participate in regulatory and customer audits.
  • Perform audits of departments and manufacturing lines to ensure they comply with documented standards.
  • Implement process improvements within the department to improve accuracy, throughput and quality of the work product.
  • Works with Quality Leads to source feedback on process documentation and assists with document updates.
  • Performs other duties as directed by Production Planning Manager.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory experience - required.
  • Previous experience supervising technical teams of up to 30 direct reports - preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent – required.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field – preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience with the workings of a QMS and ISO 90001 standards desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to speak, read and write English with technical proficiency.
