Qualifications
- A degree in Electronics Technology/Computer Science, equivalent military training, or 4 years of experience with shipboard electronics is preferred
- Must be available for worldwide travel. Sea going experience is beneficial
- Solid understanding of the technical principles of electronic equipment functional operation and maintenance
- Able to function in a team setting
- Able to communicate with team and supervisor effectively
- Experience Administering computers in network environment
- Security+ Certification is preferred
- GROL certification is preferred and will be required after being hired
- Two year Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent military training
- Five or more years’ experience troubleshooting and maintaining electronic equipment
- Experience operating and maintaining shipboard navigation systems is preferred
- Must be able to pass physical exam and lift 50 lbs required for at sea deployment
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance from the US Department of Defense
- Must be able to read and understand electronic schematics
- Must work well in a team environment as well as independent
- Understanding of RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 communication protocols is preferred
