SUMMARY:
Perlick is seeking a motivated engineering intern who is ready to apply knowledge of basic problem solving, mathematics, and engineering principles to an authentic real-world experience. The intern will assist with a wide range of duties, including documenting technical requirements, hands on work/testing, analyzing data, preparing testing reports, performing CAD modeling/drawing updates, and learning about varied engineering activities.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES :
- Learn the Change Management, New Product Development, and Value Analysis/Value Engineering processes and contribute as a Product Development Engineering team member.
- Support Sales and Application Engineering team in addressing customer requests for quotation and ordering of modified or custom Perlick products.
- Create and maintain CAD models and Engineering drawings in SolidWorks and release to PDM and ERP systems to support prototype, custom, and production configuration and release.
- Support the design validation planning, documentation, prototype build, physical testing, data analysis, and reporting for new and existing products. Including inventorying, disposition, and scrapping of test articles.
- Work with your supervisor to identify and execute a “win-win” activity that supports the candidate’s own educational and career goals while also benefiting Perlick’s business needs.
