POSITION SUMMARY
IT Administrator is a support position within the IT support group accountable for ensuring continuity of computer system services for computer users. They provide the technical expertise, assistance and project coordination necessary to install computer software products, modify/repair hardware and resolve technical problems. The Administrator must be well-versed in computer systems and network functions and have the ability to work diligently and accurately and possess a great problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot PC system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality.
- Troubleshoot a variety of computer issues.
- Arrange maintenance sessions to discover and mend inefficiencies.
- Update ITSM software in a timely manner with regard to incidents, service requests, problems, and changes.
- Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize computers correctly.
- Maintains ths asset management database.
- Provisions and supports corporate laptops, desktops, thin clients
- Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated.
- Provides technical support on-site, via phone, or by use of a remote tool.
- Research software products and applicability to organizational environment.
- Provision and support VOIP phone systems.
- Provision and support WVD thin clients

- Stay abreast of the latest developments in Information Technology.
- Verify functionality of hardware and software components.
- Recommend changes in software and hardware to improve computer capabilities.
- Assist in implementing practices that will more effectively utilize IT resources.

- Proven experience as computer technician or similar role.
- Experience with LAN/WAN networks.
- Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components.
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

POSITION – TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel may be required to support remote locations.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
