A level 1 Inventory Associate is responsible for the basic functions of monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels in an assigned area. Including but not limited to movements of materials, both physically and systematically, staging, and supplying materials for production teams. All Intelligent Foods employees are also required to adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food handling procedures, quality control, and all safety procedures and policies in our distribution centers.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ability to maintain accurate inventory balances by executing proper storage (Organic, Conventional (Non-Organic), and Allergen), movement, output, and counting processes daily in an assigned area.
- Ability to accurately use the Radio Frequency Identification (“RFID”) scanner to update inventory inputs and outputs.
- Ability to follow the First Expired First Out (“FEFO”) and First In First Out (“FIFO”) system.
- Ability to perform and understand basic Inventory functions (example: how to read and understand lot tag, unit of measures, and understanding where to find expiration and lot dates).
- Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts as assigned.
- Perform item set up procedures in a timely manner for the assigned areas.
- Responsible for completing all assignments monthly including required training.
- Maintain a safe work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards (report any hazardous conditions to supervisor and/or safety team).
- Understand food safety requirements (allergen control & cross contamination) and handle materials accordingly.
- Must follow Intelligent Foods policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
