Machine Operator Level 1

We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals to fill Machine Operator role at our food manufacturing facility at 18675 Madrone Parkway, Suite 150 Morgan Hill, CA 95037. The primary responsibilities of this role is responsible for operating assigned automated and manual packaging equipment and machinery to meet daily production schedule and customer product specifications assigned by the department manager and or General Manager.

What will you be doing: 

• Operates assigned automated and manual packaging machines including but not limited to: vertical packaging lines, sealing machines, horizontal packaging lines, Uni-filler machines and side bagger machines.
• Weigh and portion out a variety of produce per customer orders.
• Performs basic operator preventative maintenance as directed by lead, supervisor and documented standard operating procedures. This includes sticker and label printers. 
• Replenishes fulfillment lines by loading film stock, packing, labeling, and palletizing packages.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of safety and operations requirements for assigned machines. Reports any safety and or hazardous conditions to lead or supervisor immediately.  
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and safety guidelines at all times. 
• Responsible for maintaining work areas clean and safe per company standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required. 
• Complete training as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required 
• Demonstrated experience working in a food processing, manufacturing or similar field required
• Ability to read and follow written and/or verbal instructions accurately in English
• Attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness and flexibility required
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (-9º-42º Fahrenheit) for 8 or more hours.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
• Must uphold and follow workplace safety, food safety, and production quality standards
• Ability to work in high stress/fast-paced environment with multiple change-over’s
• Must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts and overtime as required; even on short notice
