Job Description

The position will work directly with the production and revenue team to accurately handle numerous related responsibilities. As part of a dynamic accounting department, this position will be asked to handle a variety of responsibilities not limited to the ones listed below.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
•    Monitor, analyze, and interpret real-time field operations production data.
•    Identify measurement and production best practices and issues by performing trend analysis, creating probability distributions and completing data quality projects.
•    Review daily and monthly new well data and production to assist field offices in maintaining accuracy of production diagrams and allocations. 
•    Prepare and submit state and federal filing reports.
•    Calculate and record monthly revenues and expenses on non-operated assets.
•    Reconcile and/or analyze revenue general ledger accounts and propose necessary adjusting entries, as required. 
•    Analyze business transactions of moderate complexity and determine appropriate accounting treatment through research or collaboration with subject matter experts.
•    Provides research, analysis, information and explanation for audit requests from internal/external auditors.
•    Effectively communicates with internal and external contacts via phone or email.
•    Handles other projects and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Education Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study is required
•    3+ years of experience
•    Oil and Gas Accounting experience preferred
•    Strong computer skills including Excel
•    Excellent analytical skills, organizational skills, and acute attention to detail
•    Sound verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to interact with team members at all levels of the organization
•    Capacity to enhance processes to ensure functions are performed efficiently and effectively 
•    Keen problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•    Flexibility to grow and change with company needs
