About the Role
The Estimator plays a role in guaranteeing accurate and competitive building quotes that adhere to Sunward’s standards and practices. Out Estimators assist our sales and project manager teams with various metal building projects accurately and efficiently estimating building system prices based on our quote proposal documents, company policies, and standards. Estimating will supply accurate, concise, and well-qualified proposals using estimating software. Estimating will coordinate quote activities by reviewing and recommending economical solutions to various sales requests. Estimating works to identify exclusions, discrepancies, and missing information, obtain clarification, and qualify the quotation. They will be assisting in checking other team members’ work to ensure the accuracy of all estimates. Estimating will also field phone calls from internal teams regarding project scope, qualifications, and timelines.
- Examine bid specifications and drawings to grasp project requirements fully.
- Thoroughly assess all drawings and specifications, pinpoint potential discrepancies or areas requiring clarification, and engage in continuous dialogue with relevant teams for a comprehensive understanding.
- Partner with Sales Consultants, Sales Managers, and Project Managers to provide essential technical and pricing support to secure projects successfully.
- Compile detailed quotes and contract forms that outline the project’s scope of work, exclusions, and qualifications.
- Conduct design reviews, cost assessments, and scope evaluations to ensure alignment with project objectives and company standards.
