Optimal Hospice is seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse to provide on-call and after-hours support in the Colorado Springs area. The RN will provide on-call and after-hour nursing care, including evenings and weekends, as part of a rotating schedule. The on-call rotation will include Monday-Friday from 4:30 PM to 8:30 AM and weekends (Friday 4:30 PM – Monday 8:30 AM). Additionally, this role will assist in covering shifts when other nurses are on PTO.

THE OPTIMAL HOSPICE REGISTERED NURSE:
- Hospice heart: compassionate, kind and empathetic to your patients and their families
- Nurse/Patient Relationship: Develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship through the health care continuum
- Provide direct patient care services to hospice patients
- Empower patient's caregivers by education them on care for their loved one
- Provide coordination of care, ensure continuous assessment of each patient's and family's needs
- Responsible for documentation and communication of care, medication, and observations made during care of the patient in order to track responsiveness and health of patient.
- Responsible for providing appropriate patient/family education to help patient/family achieve a pain-free and comfortable status.

PAY:
Base rate for being on-call
$65-150 visit rate
