Minimum Education/Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in HIM or healthcare related field required.
- Will consider a minimum of 5 years of experience if currently enrolled in an HIM or healthcare baccalaureate program.
- 5 years of experience working in a similar role with 2 years of database experience required.
- Current NAMSS, CPCS, and/or CPMSM certification required within 3 years of hire.
Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:
- Extensive knowledge of corporate compliance issues (HIPAA, HFAP, CMS, etc.)
- Advanced writing and editorial skills.
- Ability to make independent procedural decisions and judgments.
- Skill in establishing priorities with independent coordination of day-to-day aspects.
- Superior computer skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
Compensation Details: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
