SUMMARY
Brixton is looking for a Graphic Designer to provide graphic support to the Creative Graphics team, focusing on all categories of the Brixton brand as well as other graphic needs within the department. This Graphic Designer will be required to function within a team environment as well as working on projects independently. Someone with experience working with lifestyle brands, particularly in the graphic market, will serve this role well as we are frequently called on to explore a variety of aesthetics and trends to meet the needs of our brand and retail partners. This person will be able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment as we look to grow our brands.

The ideal candidate will have strong freehand sketching and drawing skills, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently to complete projects. Experience incorporating AI tools is a plus and/or a willingness to explore AI to help facilitate the process. We are looking for a collaborative team player that is familiar with the market and aware of key players, trends and activities within that market. Strong typography and design skills are a must, along with a good sense of color and composition. As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating art and designs for printables and headwear applications.

This is a full-time, exempt role based out of California.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide on-trend and customer appropriate artwork for the brand on a constant basis based on customer and seasonal requests.
- Preparing print ready artwork for sizing and CAD files.
- Follow all established operating procedures.
- Conduct trend research & shopping reports to identify the latest and upcoming trends.
- Collaborate with design and graphics team on projects.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- BFA in graphic design or equivalent related work experience.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Procreate (if applicable).
- AI tool utilization is a plus.
- Passion for design and good understanding of market trends.
- Must be organized and able to manage time efficiently meeting established deadlines.
- Must be able to follow a design brief and create sellable, trend-right art from scratch.
- Strong understanding of typography, color, composition.
- Strong freehand, hand-sketching and/or drawing skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
- Self-motivated and accountable for meeting tight deadlines.
- Team player: must be able to collaborate with other designers.
- Good communicator: must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently.
- Must be coachable, willing to learn and be open to feedback and/or constructive criticism.
- Flexible, willing to take on new challenges and shift gears quickly if needed.
- Solid understanding of various screen-printing processes, treatments and creating art ready for print.
- Must be able to demonstrate a pulse of what is trending at retail.

SALARY RANGE
- The base pay for this position is between $75,000-$80,000. In accordance with applicable state laws, the range provided is Brixton's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location.
