Manufacturing Industrial Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible for evaluating and improving manufacturing processes to boost productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency. This role provides technical support and drives innovation across production lines, applying engineering knowledge and continuous improvement principles to optimize operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, safety, and product quality.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and other continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate waste and enhance workflow.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to production performance, costs, and cycle times.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production objectives and effectively communicate capabilities and schedules.
• Lead and support engineering projects focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Research and implement new technologies and innovative methodologies to advance manufacturing capabilities.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including process standards and work instructions.
• Design and optimize facility layouts to maximize productivity and ensure safety.
• Participate in the design and integration of systems across departments to enhance coordination and output.

Qualifications, Experience and Education Requirements      

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in a technical role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Solid understanding of manufacturing systems, production techniques, and engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with machining, assembly, deburring, and secondary operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis tools, and project planning software.
• Solid mathematical skills, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics.
• Ability to deconstruct complex data and solve problems creatively within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and lead projects effectively.
• Experience with ERP or MES systems a plus.
• Exposure to Six Sigma or other quality control methodologies a plus.
• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent process improvement credentials a plus.
