The Center for Environment and Society (CES) and the River and Field Campus is funding an internship for the Fall 2025 semester with the intent to compile a literature review for our collaborative project entitled "Empowering Farmers with Evidence of the Economic Trade-offs of Soil Health Practices: Integrating Research from Field to Policy Scales". We are specifically interested in compiling a literature review as it pertains to historically underserved populations and BlPOC communities. This work will contribute to a larger effort at American Farmland Trust to improve and expand their support of these important communities of farmers.
The intern will work directly with Dr. David Kramar to compile, organize, and catalogue research as it pertains to this project, and put together a synthesized literature review of current research in this arena. You will have the opportunity to interact with collaborators at American Farmland Trust. We are interested in students with expressed interest in environmental equity, particularly as it applies to the agricultural sector, and strong research skills to find, summarize, and synthesize findings from scholarly and lay publications on the topic.
Please submit a cover letter and resume that describes your strengths, interests, and experiences. The same letter can be used for all internships sponsored by the Center for Environment and Society as long as it includes each internship that you are interested in and how it aligns with your academic and career goals.
