POSITION TITLE: Clinical Manager

POSITION PURPOSE

The Clinical Manager leads the overall clinical operations and drives outstanding patient care within assigned location(s), including but not limited to leading clinical staff in day-to-day duties and overseeing talent development, training, and staffing objectives. This role ensures compliance with policies, best practices, and execution of USOSM standards, all while building a highly efficient and successful practice environment.

 

*This position requires weekly travel to all four office locations.

 

 


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Lead performance management for clinical staff, including recognition, coaching, conflict resolution, and progressive discipline.

  • Supervise clinical employees while fostering a culture aligned with the company’s POWER values and mission.

  • Manage clinical staffing levels, onboarding, training, and timekeeping, including overtime monitoring.

  • Coach and develop talent across all levels of the clinical team.

  • Ensure treatment rooms are stocked and equipped to support outstanding patient care.

  • Maintain and oversee licensure and continuing education requirements for doctors and surgical assistants.

  • Ensure all federal, state, and regulatory compliance requirements are met (OSHA, HIPAA, I-9, etc.).

  • Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Knowledge & Competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with clinical and administrative staff.

  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach and high accountability.

  • Effective leadership and people management skills with a focus on team performance and development.

  • Exceptional multi-tasking, attention to detail, and deadline management.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent patient/customer service skills.

Required Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.

  • 3+ years of operational leadership experience in oral surgery or a healthcare-related field.

  • 3+ years of administrative experience in a medical or dental setting.

  • Must be willing and able to travel between office locations on a weekly basis.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent walking and standing throughout the day.

  • Manual dexterity required for keyboard, phone, and office equipment.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
