About the Role:
Ampla Health is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our dental clinic. In this role, you’ll support patients both in person and over the phone, manage scheduling, handle payments, and ensure a smooth front office experience. You’ll be part of a caring team that’s committed to providing high-quality, affordable dental care to the community.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients and assist with check-in and check-out

Answer phones, route calls, take messages, and assist with appointment scheduling

Register new patients and update existing records in the system (CPS)
-
Verify dental insurance and obtain authorizations for treatment
-
Schedule patient follow-ups, recalls, and appointments with specialists
-
Process payments (cash, checks, credit cards) and generate financial estimates
-
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation is scanned
-
Prepare daily deposit slips and reconcile the cash drawer
-
Assist with administrative duties such as printing schedules and managing forms
-
Coordinate with the Billing Department and Dental Assistants to maintain workflow
-
Maintain professionalism as the first point of contact for patients

Support inventory tracking and request supply reorders as needed
-
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
What You Bring:

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
-
Minimum 40 words per minute typing speed

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic scheduling systems

Experience in a dental or medical office setting preferred

Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitasking abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to remain calm, courteous, and efficient in a fast-paced environment

Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a pl

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and push up to 100 lbs

Must be able to bend, squat, stand, and reach regularly

Must be able to hear and speak clearly with patients and coworkers

Regular use of a computer, phone, and office equipment
